Coldon Lee Wilson, age 72, of Crossville, passed away on October 4, 2023. He was born June 1, 1951, in Abilene, Texas, to Ott and Lavoyce Ash and later adopted by his uncle and aunt, Franklin and Johnny Wilson.

Coldon retired from the medical profession as a registered nurse with several degrees in his field. He graduated from East Texas State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in History and English. In 1979, he graduated with an Associate of Science RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) at Tyler Junior College in Texas. In 1981 he graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing (Registered Nurse) at Kilgore Junior College in Texas. In 1983, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Texas. He then continued with his Masters in 1988 earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of Texas and in 1990, he received his Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) also at the University of Texas. He spent 14 years at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville as VP of Nursing before his retirement. He and his wife Pam were members of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

He was a loving husband and compassionate father and grandfather. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and forever will. May you rest in peace, and we will be thinking of you always.

He is survived by his wife: Pamela Wilson of Crossville; daughter: Sarah Gunter (Josh) of Crossville; sons: Josh Wilson of Crossville and Caland Wilson of Springfield, Illinois; grandchildren: Carson, Lenox, and Huxley Cole Gunter; sister: Edie Kemp; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville.
