CONFRONTATION WITH WHITE PLAINS ACADEMY STUDENT SAFELY RESOLVED

From the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:
Earlier today, a White Plains Academy Student was involved in an altercation and sent to the principal’s office but instead chose to leave school grounds. This prompted a large law enforcement response, with PCSO Deputies and Algood Police Department Officers immediately conducting a search of the surrounding area.
With the assistance of PCSO Sgt. Jake Dronebarger and K9 Iris, the juvenile was safely located in a nearby brush pile. The juvenile’s parents were contacted and notified of the situation.
Sheriff Farris thanks the public for their cooperation and also wants to thank the Algood Police Department for their continuous partnership and assistance in the search.
