COOKEVILLE JUVENILE ENTERS GUILTY PLEA TO FACILITATION OF FIRST-DEGREE MURDER
Ejjavyon Davis-Morris appeared in the Criminal Court of Putnam County, Tennessee Monday, April 10, 2023, with his lawyers where he entered a plea of guilty to the Facilitation of the first-degree murder of Joshua A. Rowan. A sentence of 35 years to serve was imposed by the Judge.
Eljaavyon Davis-Morris is a juvenile. However, by Court order, he had been previously transferred to the Criminal Court so that he would face his charges as an adult. He was 14 at the time of the murder.
Joshua Rowan was killed on August 10, 2020, as a result of the actions of Davis-Morris. Investigators said Rowan’s body was found inside his apartment on North Dixie Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. where he was shot to death.
Rowan’s father spoke at the plea hearing, giving a victim-impact statement.
Two additional Co-Defendant cases remain.
