COOKEVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING I.C.A.C. INVESTIGATION
Cookeville, TN – On December 10, 2025, detectives with Cookeville PD were assigned to investigate a Cybertip. The tip originated from Kik, which reported that a user account had uploaded files suspected to contain child sexual abuse material. Investigators reviewed the reported files and confirmed illegal content was involved.
On January 21, 2026, Cookeville PD detectives and CPD SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence on Kenway Street. Bryan Ray Harper was identified as the suspect and was located inside of the residence. Investigators conducted an on-scene preview of a mobile device in Harper’s possession and observed multiple illegal files as well as evidence of distribution to other users. Harper was taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for booking where he was charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Class D Felony) and Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Class C Felony). He was given a $425,000 bond.
