Cookeville, TN – At 10:10 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, officers of the Cookeville Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Division responded to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near 669 West Broad Street.

The initial investigation indicated that Dristin Jared, 23 years old of Silverpoint, was walking in the roadway near Hunter Avenue when he was struck by a 2009 Ford Flex.  The Flex was driven by Natasha Bumbalough, 35 years old of Cookeville.

At the approximate time of the crash, CPD dispatch received a phone call indicating that Mr. Jared was walking on the roadway.  Mr. Jared was listed in critical condition at Vanderbilt Hospital at the time of this release.
