CRAYOLA MAGNETIC CUBES RECALLED FOR SWALLOWING HAZARD
On December 4, 2025, CreateOn, LLC announced a recall of approximately 9,400 Crayola-branded pip-Cubes magnetic building sets due to a serious ingestion hazard. The affected sets include Bold Colors (red, green, blue, and yellow) and Glitter (purple, pink, blue, and green with glitter) cubes sold in 24- or 27-piece packages.
If the seams of these cubes separate, high-powered magnets inside can come loose and, if swallowed, attract to each other or to metal objects inside the digestive system, potentially causing intestinal perforation, twisting, blockage, infection, blood poisoning, or death.
No injuries have been reported.
The recalled sets, bearing specific model and UPC numbers listed on the packaging, were sold from May 2025 to July 2025 at Michaels stores nationwide and online at Michaels.com (24-piece sets for about $20) and on Amazon.com (27-piece sets for about $35).
Consumers should immediately stop using the cubes, keep them away from children, and contact CreateOn toll-free at 800-333-0549, by email at [email protected], or through the recall page at www.createon.com/recall for a free replacement set and a prepaid return label for the recalled product. The products were manufactured in China (CPSC Recall #26-128).
