The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded to a recent tractor-trailer accident in Overton County.

Officers say a 2006 Freightliner driven by 39-year-old Harlen Trent Lawless of Kentucky was traveling down a grade and lost control in a curve on Worley Loop and Jaybird Road.

The tractor-trailer hauling chicken feed left the road, struck a guardrail, and went over an embankment. The tractor-trailer overturned several times.

Lawless was extricated from the wreckage.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
