CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER OFFICIAL CITY MASCOT
Downtown Crossville Inc. has submitted a request for the City Council to designate “Milo the Otter” as the official mascot of Crossville, which will be considered for approval at the council’s meeting on November 11.
Introduced in 2025, Milo embodies the city’s community pride, natural beauty, and family-friendly atmosphere, with his name honoring Sergeant Milo Lemert, a World War I Medal of Honor recipient born and raised in Crossville, to symbolize enduring service and courage.
The proposed resolution would formally adopt Milo as the mascot, celebrating local heritage and natural character, honoring Sgt. Lemert’s memory, and enhancing the city’s community branding and tourism appeal.
