A local hardwood flooring company is closing its doors.

Crossville Hardwoods, LLC on Interstate Drive in Crossville will shut down on March 23, 2024.

A reason for the closure was not initially released.

A notice is required by federal law if large businesses plan to close. It is meant to give families and communities a warning that their jobs will soon be impacted.

The following WARN notice was filed yesterday by Crossville Hardwoods, LLC to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development:

Crossville Hardwoods, LLC is notifying you of a permanent closure beginning on March 23, 2024, with all separations to be completed by July 31, 2024. The total number of affected workers is 67. The company is located at 656 Interstate Drive, Crossville, TN, 38555. The company notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Dislocated Worker Unit on January 24, 2024. The employees at the facility are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement. The Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team, employed by the Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency, has been notified to coordinate services with the employer and affected employees. Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency will be responsible for the oversight of the continued follow-up of Rapid Response and Dislocated Worker services associated with this event.

Crossville Hardwoods makes hardwood flooring and hardwood lumber. It is part of the Somerset Hardwood Flooring company.
