CROSSVILLE POLICE DETECTIVE SWORN IN AS TBI VIOLENT CRIMES TASK FORCE MEMBER

At a ceremony at its Nashville headquarters Monday, Crossville Police Detective Kevin Wood was sworn in as a member of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Violent Crimes Task Force.

The Task Force comprises officers from multiple local agencies who work violent crimes. It enables smaller agencies to partner with one another and the TBI to help end violent crimes in communities statewide.

Participating agencies may access training, manpower and other assistance from TBI and other participating agencies. This type of cooperation and inter-agency team work often leads to more prosecutable cases being solved and more criminals behind bars.

A press release from the Crossville Police Department says the department is proud that Detective Kevin Wood was chosen to participate in this task force and will represent the City of Crossville and the community at large. It goes on to say Wood’s dedication and work ethic are “a shining example of what it means to be a professional law enforcement officer.”
