CROSSVILLE WILL SHIFT PART OF CRUISE-IN TO HELP LOCAL BUSINESSES

Last night’s Crossville City Council meeting involved a discussion of the popular Cruise-In Event. The Crossville Cruise-In happens seven times a year on Saturdays from 12- 4 PM and is loved by many. Some of the issues brought up were the fact that some businesses located on Main Street felt like it took away from their revenue and customer parking. Other concerns were the fact that it is a main Highway and can cause emergency personnel to take longer in times of crisis.

During the meeting, most City Council members expressed how much they enjoyed the Cruise-In and tried to find a way for everyone to be able to find the necessary space for the cruisers while not affecting the traffic flow for businesses on the busiest day of the week for them.

The motion was to shorten the Cruise-In from Taylor Ave down to 4th Street and expand it by blocking 2nd Street to Thurman. The motion was passed and we will post the dates of the upcoming Crossville Cruise-Ins on our Events Calendar.
