CROSSVILLE WOMAN THREATENED BY MAN SHE MET ON TIKTOK

On Christmas Day, Deputy Michael Winebarger took a report for a scam in the Sheriff’s Office’s front lobby. He made contact with a couple, the husband saying that he was going through his wife’s phone and found messages where someone was threatening her and her family.
The wife said that she met a male on TikTok who offered to pay her credit card bills. She was not able to give any information on the man’s identity. After the male paid some of her credit card bills he asked her to send him money through various apps and forms of payment. She admitted to sending him 500.00 U.S. dollars via a cash app.
However, the male has contacted Cassandra multiple different times by phone and email, and she has requested a report for the threats and money she sent to the male.
