CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION GRANTS TENURE TO 20 TEACHERS

The Cumberland County Board of Education, during its February 26, 2026, meeting, unanimously approved the 2025-2026 tenure list (often referred to as Tenure 25-26), granting tenure to a group of qualifying educators across the district’s schools.

In Tennessee, teachers typically achieve tenure after a probationary period involving satisfactory performance evaluations, recommendation by the Director of Schools, and formal board approval.

This status provides job protections and recognizes sustained, effective teaching.
