CURTIS HONEYCUTT, AGE 69
Curtis was given life on September 21, 1954, in Greenville, Tennessee by parents Freda and Lee Williams of Madison County, NC. He was adopted, nurtured, loved, and raised by Rev. Russell and Lucille Honeycutt of Crossville.
Curtis retired from the State of Tennessee DOC and DOT after 32-1/2 years. After retirement, Curtis enjoyed fishing, collecting and repairing fishing reels. Curtis was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife: Karolyn “Janie” Honeycutt; sons: James Lee (Jennifer) Honeycutt of Crossville and Clayton and Nathan Honeycutt of Crossville; grandchildren: Chloe and Theodore Honeycutt (Alabama), Brayden, Kadence, Justin and Ciera Honeycutt (Crossville) and Hector and Alesa Honeycutt (Crossville); brothers: Jimmy (Joy) Belt of Limestone, Tennessee, Leon (Teresa) Williams of Bulls Gap, Tennessee, and Bruce (Twila) Belt of Afton, Tennessee; sisters: Janie Belt of Greenville and Lisa (Bobby) Hilton of Mosheim; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and special uncle: Gene (Kathleen) Gosnell of Madison County, North Carolina.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents: Freda (Sam) Belt of Greenville, Tennessee, Lee Williams of Madison County, North Carolina, and Rev. Russell & Lucille Honeycutt of Crossville; brother: Ricky Carter of Greenville, Tennessee; and sister: Peggy Henderson of Limestone, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
