Roane County, TN- On Wednesday night around 9:50 PM, Amy Hicks, from Oliver Springs was riding her bike north on Highway 27 when a Nissan Altima, also traveling north, hit the cyclist. The 47-year-old came to a final uncontrolled rest in the roadway and the car left the scene.

Sheldon Hickman, age 33 was driving the Nissan and did return to the scene.

Amy Hicks was pronounced deceased from the incident and charges are pending on Hickman.
