Cyril J. “Jerry” McDonough, age 81, of Crossville, passed away December 25, 2020. As a young child he had a growing passion for airplanes and aviation. He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked many years in the aviation industry as an avionic/electronic technician and retired in avionic management. He and his wife Marian were members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Marian McDonough; daughters: Jennifer McDonough Reynolds of Purcellville, VA, Jessica McDonough Rofe (Shane) of Crossville, and Elisha McDonough Kirkland of Crossville; son: Donny McDonough of Crossville; sister: Patricia Sohns of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Sean, Owen, Erin, Bridgit, Samantha, James, Elizabeth, Isabel, Achaia, Anna and Ali; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Building Fund, 151 St. Alphonsus Way, Crossville, TN 38555 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
