D. Alan Wade, 77
D. Alan Wade, age 77, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
He was a son of the late Norman and LaNelle McKinney Wade. He was a county supervisor in the farmers home administration agency from 1973 to 1996, where he was the rural business specialist for USDA Rural Development in the Chattanooga area office until his retirement in December 2007. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother: David Wade.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years: Judy Wade; children: Patrick (Summer) Wade of Maryville, TN, Stephanie (Randy) Fincher of Rossville, GA, Nicole (Kenny) Perkins of Decatur, grandchildren: Emily, Sophie, Ashley; several greatgrandchildren; siblings: W.E. “Gene” (Polly) Wade of Decatur, TN, Susan Barnett of Riceville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Jason Wade, Mike Elam, Randy Fincher, Kenny Perkins, Larry Mason, and Charles Brooks will serve as pallbearers. Jerry Sloan and David Brewster will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his nieces, Tiffany Wade and Crystal Wade and caregivers, Kim Johnson and Darla Henley for their exceptional care of Alan.
