David Earl Olson, age 77, of Oakdale, passed away September 20, 2020. David was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp where he achieved the level of Expert Marksman, He retired from the Caterpillar plant in Joliet, Illinois, David was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a very generous and caring person who loved his family. He is survived by his children: David E. Olson II of Oakdale, Amy Kargle of Joliet, Illinois, and Mark Olson of Thurmont, Maryland; sister: Sharon McCormick of Wilmington, Delaware; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Pine Orchard Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Olson family.
