Denton “Mitch” Threet, age 76, of Crossville, passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born April 28, 1947, in Crossville, the son of Denton and Goldie Farley Threet. He retired after 44 years with Frontier Communications and was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters: Jo Bryson (Jule), Kalli Buck (Shane), all of Crossville, and Charley Threet and her fiancé Josh Williams of Dallas, North Carolina; brother: Steve Threet (Peggy) of Crossville; sister: Janie Burgess (Royce) of Crossville; and grandchildren: Julie Bryson, Ezra Buck, and Willa Kate Buck.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Steffie Threet.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 8 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside committal will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Green Acres Memory Gardens.
