DETAILS ON YESTERDAY’S PLANE CRASH IN TULLAHOMA
A skydiving plane, a DeHavilland DH-6 Twin Otter, crashed shortly after takeoff from Tullahoma Regional Airport in Tennessee on Sunday at around 12:30 p.m. The plane, carrying 20 passengers and crew, experienced an “unknown issue” leading to a collision with trees and terrain.
Three people were airlifted to hospitals, one was transported by ground for serious injuries, and others with minor injuries were treated at the scene. No fatalities or ground injuries were reported, and no airport facilities were damaged.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating, with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) taking over the investigation. Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
