Dorothy Snow, age 85 of Harriman, passed away December 25, 2020.  She was born January 26, 1935 in New River. Dorothy was a devoted mother to 5 children and mammie to 9 grandkids and 16 great grandkids. She was a small frame lady bur a firecracker if you mistreated one of her kids or grandkids but still had a heart of gold and would give you the last penny she had or the shirt off her back. She was the rock and glue that kept the family together. Before her hands got bad, she enjoyed crocheting and crafting.  She really missed all of her close friends that she’s outlived except for one, Linda “Renee” Griffith of Petros, whom she still talked to on the phone. She is preceded in death by her parents: Wilse Bray & Oma Seiber Giles; sister: Darlis Bray Burford; nephew: Jimmy Campbell; and son-in-law: Johnny Manis. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Keith & Pam Smith of Athens Alabama and James Bray of Harriman; daughters and sons-in-law: Frankie & Lloyd Allen Paxton of Lancing, Donna Capps of Harriman, and Michelle & Jim Kilby of Oakdale; brother & sister-in-law: Steve & Deanna Seibers of Sunbright; sisters & brothers-in-law: Hazell & Harold Campbell of Knoxville and Joan & Earl Headrick of Wartburg; grandsons: Pete & Melinda Wright of Wartburg, Mark & Anna Richardson, Timmy & Lacy Burnette all of Harriman, Travis Bray & Jana Barron of Rockwood, Brandon Smith, Brad & Regina Smith of Athens, Alabama; granddaughters: Ashley & Mike Roberts, and Morgan Capps all of Harriman, and Tia & Henry Tau currently serving 2nd term in the US Navy; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 nephews. The family wants to thank her special nephew Derrick Headrick for showing her so much love by calling and checking on her.  He always asked about her wherever you seen him. The family will receive friends Monday December 28, 2020 from noon until 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will follow. Graveside service will follow in the Paxton cemetery in Lancing. Davis Funeral Home in Wartburg is serving the Snow family.
