DOWN IN FLAMES – FAMED BONNAROO ARCH IS SLATED FOR REPLACEMENT

The famed Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival archway went down in flames Monday.

But there’s no need for an arson investigation. Bonnaroo officials confirmed it was a controlled burn, intentionally set because the arch “had significant structural issues & needed to be removed.”

The arch, an iconic backdrop for photos at the annual festival, marks one of the entrances to the venue.

And with this year’s event just weeks away, officials have yet to reveal plans for the replacement arch, either its design or color scheme.

Bonnaroo is slated for June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee. The lineup for the 18th annual music festival includes Childish Gambino, Cardi B, Phish, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Trampled By Turtles, among others. Check out the Bonnaroo website for lineup, tickets and other info.
