UPDATE: EMERGENCY LANDING AT McGHEE TYSON THIS MORNING
An Allegiant Airlines flight made an emergency landing at McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville this morning, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed.
A medical emergency with a passenger necessitated the landing, according to FAA spokesman Jim Peters.

Allegiant Flight 2331 departed Orlando Sanford International Airport at 7:31 Eastern Time this morning, bound for Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan. After a passenger experienced a medical emergency, the flight was diverted to Knoxville. Paramedics met the aircraft and took the passenger to a nearby hospital.
The flight continued on to its destination and was scheduled to land at 12:11 p.m.
