Funeral Services for Doyle Looper, age 95, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Richard Harris will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Looper was born on Sunday, April 12, 1931, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Elbert and Christine Phillips Looper. Mr. Looper passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his home. Mr. Looper was a retired automotive assembler with many years of service at Chrysler in Detroit, Michigan on Jefferson Avenue. He was an avid fisherman and master gardener. He was a member of Columbia Hill Baptist Church since 1986. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Mindy Looper of Howell, MI; granddaughters, Adrienne Looper of Hazel Park, MI, Kelly Looper of Howell, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Vicki Looper of Indiana, Bobby and Claudia Looper of Wilkinson, IN; a host of nieces and nephews; and his loving church family that has supported him with love and care. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Vaughn Looper; son, Gregory Looper; brothers, John Looper, Lorn Looper, J.B.
