ROANE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY TERMINATED FOR OFF-DUTY POLICY VIOLATIONS
The Roane County Sheriff’s Office has issued a media release announcing that a sheriff’s deputy was terminated for off-duty policy violations related to Standards of Conduct. The violations came to light on May 6, 2026, prompting an Internal Affairs investigation that substantiated the allegations.
The deputy was immediately dismissed, and the incident has been referred to the 9th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office for further review. A change of status notification was also sent to the Tennessee P.O.S.T. Commission.
