DRIVER DIES FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED IN MCMINN COUNTY VEHICLE CRASH
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a driver lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in McMinn County.
The accident report states a 2007 Honda Civic driven by 53-year-old Douglas C. Harold was traveling west on County Road 405 when he lost control.
The vehicle left the road and struck a steep earth embankment.
The Honda overturned and came to rest on its top.
A landing zone was set up nearby for a medical helicopter to fly Harold to Erlanger Medical Center.
He later passed away from injuries sustained.
The report noted Harold was restrained at the time of the crash.
