DRIVER INJURED AFTER TRACTOR-TRAILER OVERTURNS ON HIGHWAY 321
The Tennessee Highway Patrol released their report today of a tractor-trailer accident yesterday in Loudon County. It states a 2003 Kenworth operated by 28-year-old Marcus R. Wright of Sparta, Tennessee was traveling west on U.S Highway 321 negotiating a curve. He struck a barrier ejecting a large amount of garbage onto the east bound lanes of the highway. The tractor-trailer then overturned on its left side then slide onto the Tennessee River Bridge. It came to rest blocking both westbound lanes as the cab caught on fire. All lanes were closed until clean-up was complete. Wright was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries. He was cited for failure to exercise due care and failure to stay in the proper lane.
