DRIVER MIRACULOUSLY SUSTAINS MINOR INJURIES AFTER TREE GOES THROUGH CAR
South Greene Volunteer Fire Department officials said one person suffered minor injuries after a tree went through a car in a crash yesterday in Greene County on the 4000 block of Houston Valley Road.
First responders arrived to see a car with two people, including a juvenile, trapped inside and a tree through it.
Officers say the vehicle left the roadway and struck a fallen tree along an embankment. The end of the tree went through the car’s windshield and protruded out of the left rear door.
Crews used a hydraulic spreader to open a door to get both people out.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, while a juvenile was not hurt.
