The Knox County Rescue Squad, law enforcement and medics responded this afternoon to a car accident on West Emory Rd near Autumn View. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had crashed into a tree with the driver trapped. Rescue crews cut the person free of the wreckage and medics transported the subject to a trauma center for treatment of serious injuries. The name of the driver was not initially released. Authorities remind motorists to slow down, put your cell phone down, don’t drink and drive and always wear your seatbelt.
