DRIVER TAKEN TO TRAUMA CENTER FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH
The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Englewood Rural Fire Department, and medics recently responded to a single-vehicle accident on County Road 405 in McMinn County.
A preliminary report states the driver of a 2007 Honda Civic failed to negotiate a curve and flipped over.
Crews worked for about 15 minutes to free the driver from the wreckage.
A landing zone was set up at the intersection of County Roads 405 and 420, where a medical helicopter landed to transport the driver to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.
A full report, including the name of the driver, will be released soon by the highway patrol.
