Thursday’s updated drought monitor shows precipitation deficits and drying soil moisture led to Tennessee seeing eastward expansion of abnormal dryness and moderate drought. Almost the entire mid state is now at least abnormally dry and approximately two-thirds of Middle Tennessee is in some degree of drought. Moderate drought conditions prevail across much of Cumberland County.
