DRUNKEN WOMAN CRASHES INTO HANDICAP SIGN AT DOLLAR GENERAL

On Thursday Crossville police units were dispatched to Dollar General market in regards to an unresponsive woman who had crashed into a handicap sign. Upon arriving, Officer Chris Stavros observed a gray Dodge pickup truck and made contact with the driver, Kelley Pierce.
She is described in Officer Stavros’s report as having bloodshot watery eyes. Pierce said she had consumed two alcoholic beverages but was unable to perform field sobriety tests due to a medical condition that caused her to walk with a cane.
Pierce was placed into custody for DUI, but a search of her vehicle recovered a bottle of alcohol as well as a Glock 44 .22 caliber handgun and magazine containing 10 rounds. Pierce was also charged with possession of a handgun while intoxicated.
