EARLY MORNING PURSUIT NETS ONE IN CUSTODY IN LOUDON COUNTY

LENOIR CITY, TENNESSEE – Early this morning the Tennessee Highway Patrol attempted a traffic stop on a grey Nissan Titan just inside Knox County. The vehicle refused to stop and fled into Loudon County in the area of Beals Chapel Road in Lenoir City.
Several LCSO units joined THP in the pursuit in an attempt to get the vehicle stopped. Deputy Shane Gaumer successfully used spike strips to immobilize the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stopped the driver fled on foot but was taken into custody by Deputy Michael Stanley after a foot pursuit.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and the driver, Stacy Parker, out of Georgia, is being at the Loudon County Detention Facility.
