EARTHQUAKE REPORTED FRIDAY NIGHT IN MORGAN COUNTY
Another earthquake was reported in East Tennessee Friday evening. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.5 magnitude quake struck 4.34 miles northwest of Coalfield in Morgan County. The epicenter of the quake was on Kelley Mountain at the south end of Frozen Head State Park. The USGS says that the earthquake happened 7.5 miles below ground. East Tennessee has noticed increased earthquake activity in the last few months.
