Edith Bernice Parton, age 86, of Crossville, passed away October 8, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother: Agnes Vaughn; sister: Deliah Mae; brothers: Oliver Lee (Pete) and Leslie; and step-sister: Lilliam. Survivors include her husband of almost 68 years: Frank Parton; daughters: Kathy “Jan” Yore (Peter) and Karen J. Eubanks (Tori); grandchildren: Katie, Jenny, Nicole, Peter, Amy, and Jamie; great-grandchildren: Roan, Grayson, Piper, Paisley, Luna, and Preslee; brother: Avril Vaughn (Jean); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. A special thank you to Standing Stone Nursing Home Staff and to Kindred Hospice Care. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 10 a.m. until noon at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with the services to follow. She will be laid to rest in South Liberty Community Cemetery in Athens, Tennessee.
