Edward Eric Eischied, 78

Crossville Memorial – Ed was a long-time local business owner who loved being an entrepreneur. You could find him always befriending a dog or two, looking at classic cars, and listening to 60s music. He was a combat wounded Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the U.S Army. He may have been grumpy at times, but he had a heart of gold and his giving spirit knew no bounds. Ed is survived by his daughter, Darcie Lynn Roach (Jon); his son, Blaine Eischied (Patricia); his two grandchildren, Halle and Jackson Marshall; his brother-in-law, Jon Linn Franklin (Cindy); his long-time best friend, Mickey Cross; and special family members in Texas. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Dede; and daughter, Brandie; his parents, Edward and Katherine; and his in-laws, John and Jeannie. “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him” -Gilbert K Chesterton
