Elmer Dennis Harris, age 86, of Grandview, passed away April 22, 2021. He was born June 6, 1934 in Crossville, the son of Whitley and Bertha Thompson Harris. He was retired after many years from General Motors. He is survived by his sons: Darrell Harris of Grandview and Michael Harris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters: Denise Matlock (Gerald) of Fairfield Glade, Rhonda Adams of Crossville, and Georgia Kinzel (Paul) of Amherst, Ohio; grandchildren: Steve, Carrie, Kelly, Shawna, Christel, Teresa, Ryan, Meghan and Kassia; and great-grandchildren: Jack and Emmy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ann Harris; and brother: Edgar Allen Harris. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. central at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
