CROSSVILLE – The two local Knights of Columbus councils – 8152 in Crossville and 16088 in Fairfield – will host their 33rd annual charity golf tournament on Saturday, June 21, at Fairfield Glade’s Heatherhurst Brae. The event is a fundraiser to support the Knights’ local charity efforts. Starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, this four-person scramble event can accommodate 36 foursomes. Registration is $100 per golfer. “That includes 18 holes of golf, greens fee, golf cart, prizes, a mulligan, participation in the hole-in-one competition and lunch,” co-chair John Johnson explained. Golfers and guests may also participate in a silent auction featuring a variety of desirable items, as well as a raffle for other prizes. Besides golfers, business and individual tournament sponsors are sought. Bronze sponsors ($100 to $249) will have a professionally printed 18x24-inch sign reading, “This hole sponsored by [sponsor’s name/business],” prominently placed at one of the holes along the course. Silver sponsors ($250 to $499) receive a hole-sponsorship sign, plus a 2x4-foot banner hanging in the clubhouse, as well as a ticket to the luncheon. Gold sponsors ($500+) get a 3x6-foot banner hung in the clubhouse, two golf entry fees and two luncheon tickets. Platinum sponsors ($1,000+) receive a 3x6-foot banner hung in the clubhouse, two golf entry fees, two luncheon tickets and inclusion in all media releases. Platinum sponsors include East Tennessee Ford and East Tennessee Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram, which are, for the fifth year, supplying a new vehicle for the hole-in-one challenge. And once again, AmeriGas is donating 40 dozen golf balls. For a registration form, contact John Johnson at (931) 456-1821.
