Roane County Government is hosting a special Dedication Ceremony to honor the late Benny East, a longtime dedicated county employee, former Roane County Commissioner, and cherished community member.
In recognition of his many years of service and commitment—including 35 years operating the Glen Alice Convenience Center and 24 years as a commissioner—the facility will be officially renamed "The Benny East Convenience Center."
The public is warmly invited to attend and celebrate his lasting legacy.
The event is open to everyone and will take place at the Glen Alice Convenience Center on Saturday, March 21, 2026, starting at 10:30 AM.
