Bethanie Carriker, the Seymour woman accused of leaving her two baby daughters unattended in a bathtub, appeared in court yesterday.

The 15-month-old girl drowned; Carriker’s weeks-old daughter was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The infant was finally released from the hospital last week.

Carriker faces charges of aggravated child neglect.

Court documents reveal the children were left alone in the bathtub for “10-12 minutes.”

Carriker’s next hearing will be June 18 at 1:30 p.m., pending a final autopsy report.
