Troopers and medics went to the scene of a double fatal vehicle accident last night on in northern Hamilton County. A 2014 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 68-year-old Sharon McDonald of Soddy Daisy was traveling east on Posey Hollow Road when she stopped at the intersection with Highway 27. The report states McDonald pulled out into the path of an oncoming 2012 Harley Davidson operated by 51-year-old John Purcell of Soddy Daisy. The motorcycle struck the side of the Nissan. Purcell and a passenger riding with him, 46-year-old Tonia Purcell of Soddy Daisy, both died at the scene. McDonald was injured in the crash. The highway patrol says charges are pending against McDonald.
