FATHER AND SON CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

ANTIGO, Wisconsin.  — Former church pastors were charged Wednesday with multiple counts of sexual assault of a child. They are father and son.

Scott Huse, age 64, made an initial appearance Wednesday on 11 sexual assault counts of a child and one count of child enticement. Huse is being held on a $250,000 cash bond and returns to court June 10 for a preliminary hearing.

Travis Huse, age 42, faces 31 charges, including sexual assault of a child and child enticement. He is being held on a $1 million cash bond, with a preliminary hearing on June 14.

According to the Langlade County Sheriff’s Department, the allegations stem from incidents while the Huse family was involved with the Apostolic Worship Center and former Evergreen Christian Academy in Elton. The department describes the men as former United Pentecostal Church pastors. Court records list offense dates from September 1990 to September 1994 for Scott Huse, and from October 1996 through Jan. 2006 for Travis Huse.
