Loudon County Sheriff’s Office confirms a female body was found near the Polecat Boat Dock at 10:50 p.m. Thursday night. They believe it is the body of 31-year-old Elisha Carpenter, but cannot confirm until after forensic testing. The body has been sent to UT Medical Center for testing and the family has been notified that a female body was found.

Carpenter is the only missing persons case out of Loudon County right now. She was last seen Friday, March 15th.

A fisherman in Loudon County reported the body to the sheriff’s office.
