An accident this afternoon sent Harriman Fire and an ambulance to the area of mile marker 347 westbound off Interstate 40. A car had struck a tree near the off ramp. The accident resulted in injuries to a female driver who had to be extricated from the car and transported to U.T. Medical Center.
