FENTANYL FOUND IN COOKEVILLE HOME WITH 2 CHILDREN

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a parole search at the residence of Patti Hall Jaeger located at 800 E. Spring Street, Apartment G2, in Cookeville, TN.
Mrs. Jaeger gave Deputies permission to enter the residence for her parole check, and then she directed two children to go sit in her bedroom downstairs and to sit on her bed while Deputies conducted the search. Deputies followed the children into the bedroom where they saw multiple baggies and digital scales on the bed. After seeing the drug paraphernalia, Deputies immediately instructed the children to leave the room and to wait in the living room.
Further inspection of the bedroom revealed that one of the digital scales, that was in arms reach of one of the children, had a large amount of powdered residue believed to be Fentanyl on it. Deputies also located a bag containing approximately 1.9 grams of a pink powdered substance along with other items of drug paraphernalia including hypodermic needles all located at a level accessible to the children. Deputies also located a small bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine approximately 3 feet from the couch the children were seated on.
Also in the home was Ryan Jaeger, the husband of Patti Jaeger. Mr. Jaeger admitted the pink substance was fentanyl and belonged to him. Mr. Jaeger also admitted that the bedroom is where him and his wife use drugs in the residence.
Mr. & Mrs. Jaeger were both arrested and each charged with 2 counts of Child Abuse and 1 count of Manufacture, Sell, Delivery of a Controlled Substance. They have a bond set at $130,000 with a court date of August 13, 2025.
Both children were removed from the home by DCS.
