A Fentress County jury has found Ronnie Lee Clayborn of Jamestown guilty of rape of a child and incest following a two day trial. Fentress County Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton revoked Clayborn’s bond and he was taken back into custody. The judge scheduled a sentencing hearing for February 18, 2020 for Clayborn.

This case was investigated and prosecuted by Detective Jason Duncan with the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office. At trial, the state was represented by Assistant District Attorneys General Thomas E. Barclay and Apryl C. Bradshaw.

District Attorney General Jared Effler stated, “We are pleased with the verdicts in this case and believe they are consistent with the facts presented to the jury and applicable law. This case highlights the importance of law enforcement, children’s centers, and the prosecution all working together in the investigation and prosecution of child sex abuse cases. I am extremely grateful for everyone who contributed to this successful outcome.”
