The Fentress County school system postponed the start date for classes. The first day of school in Fentress County will now be this Thursday (August 8, 2019) because of air conditioning issues at York Agricultural Institute in Jamestown. Once again, Fentress County schools will start on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
