A Fentress County woman was killed in a vehicle accident in eastern Putnam County soon after sunrise this morning. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2010 Nissan Sentra driven by 73-year-old Helen Thompson of Jamestown was heading west on State Highway 62 when the vehicle left the road and hit a large boulder. The impact caused the vehicle to rollover on its top. The report states Thompson was not restrained at the time of the crash.
