By order of Tennessee Governor Lee, flags are to be flown at half-staff now until sunset on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the capitol, all state office buildings, all local government buildings, and all public lands across the state.

Private citizens are urged to lower their flags to half-staff as well.

This order is to honor the sacrifice of Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan who was killed in the line of duty
