A new device called a “Flipper Zero” is already causing problems for a school system in Tennessee.

Wilson County school officials say a student brought one to a school. It was used to shut off some cell phones in the classroom. School administrators say the student was disciplined, and the school network system was not compromised.

Officials say the Flipper Zero can interact with anything using a wireless frequency.

The device recently became popular on TikTok for pranks like shutting off fast food displays. Amazon banned the device back in April after being used to skim credit cards.

The Flipper Zero is limited and can only interfere with devices within 50 yards.
